1) A sludge metal band from Gothenburg/Göteborg, Sweden. The band played a modern styled mixture of sludge/doom metal with a strong touch of metal combined deep oppressive and sick vocals. (R.I.P. Johan)
2) An American Christian rock band from San Antonio, Texas. They signed onto ForeFront Records in late 2007 and released the Abandon EP in July 2008. Their first single "Providence" was released to radios in August and has reached #7 on R&R's Christian rock charts. The group's name was inspired by the Bible verse of Joshua 22:3, which reads "God has directed us not to abandon any brothers". Abandon II EP was released on April 21, 2009 with six new tracks.
3) Abandon (USA) - Vegan straight edge hardcore band from Southern California.
4) Abandon (USA) - Thrash metal blended with Power/Heavy metal, released two full lengths, 2 EP's and a best-of. Still active.
5) Abandon (England) - Black metal band with Vintyr from Basilisk, released a demo and EP in 2004 then changed the name to Hateful Abandon when Swine joined the band.
