Adam Cohen

Adam Cohen, a Canadian son of celebrated folk rock singer/writer Leonard Cohen, moved much as a child after his parents inclement divorce. Young Cohen lived all over the world, including Canada, France, the United States and Greece. Early piano lessons not only had much influence on him as exceptional home life, but also introduced him to his father's music and writing. He inherited his father's gift for sing and song writing.

As a young adult, Adam Cohen moved to New York and started college. He also began his professional musical career there, joining up with several rock bands where he tried out his skills at both singing and songwriting, and later even guitar playing. After moving to Los Angeles near the end of the '90s, he was offered a chance to sign with Columbia Records, the label his father had worked with so many years to.

Adam went on to make two other major label albums, first as a solo act on Capitol, with an all french record entitled 'Melancolista', and then on Blue Note/Manhattan; with a record called "ex-girlfriends" by Adam's band called Low Millions.

Currently living in L.A., Adam is writing for other artists, having his songs lisenced by film and television and working on his latest, as of yet unreleased forthcoming records, one of which will again be all in french and the other likely to be a follow up work from the band Low Millions.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
