Anarbor is an American pop-rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. It was formed in 2003 when guitarist Mike Kitlas (Rhythm Guitar) decided to form a band with fellow junior high school students Slade Echeverria (vocals) and Greg Garrity (drums). In April 2008, the band was signed to Hopeless Records - while still attending high school in Arizona.
They have previously shared the stage with Fall Out Boy, Gin Blossoms, Cartel, Meg and Dia, The Rocket Summer, This Providence, My American Heart, A Change of Pace, Danger Radio, Saosin, William Tell, Young Love, The Academy Is..., Brighten, The Scene Aesthetic, Forgive Durden, The Cab, The Summer Set, Lydia, Cute Is What We Aim For, Breathe Carolina, Every Avenue, We the Kings, Eye Alaska, The Secret Handshake, and many other well known bands.
Their self-released EP, Hearing Colours, Seeing Sounds, was released digitally in March 2008 and peaked at #62 on Amazon.com's Top Album chart.
Their debut Hopeless Records release, The Natural Way, came out on August 19, 2008. The four song digital release debuted at #6 on the Billboard Top Singles Album Chart.
In recent interviews, the band stated that their new EP, Free Your Mind, will be released March 10, 2009.
The band will be touring on the 2009 Take Action! Tour with Cute Is What We Aim For, Meg & Dia, Breathe Carolina, and Every Avenue.
