Romanian pop singer Andreea Bălan was born on the 23rd of June, 1984, in Ploieşti. She rose to national fame as a member of girl duo André in 1998. In 2002, she parted ways with her colleague Andreea Antonescu, pursuing a solo career and releasing two albums in the same year: "Te joci cu mine" and "Liberă din nou". A third album, "Așa sunt eu", was released in 2004. Her fourth solo album, "AndreeaB", was released in 2006.
