Blessed By A Broken Heart

Originating from Montreal, Canada, Blessed By A Broken Heart play a unique blend of Glam Metal and Metalcore.

Blessed By A Broken Heart was formed in the autumn of 2002 when Tyler, Robbie, Hugh and Simon have met for their 1st practice. With arrival of Frank on drums, and later Joel on a bass the band, at last, was in full gathering. In the beginning of January 2004 they have made record of their first demo in studio B-side in Chateaguai and have received fine responses about it, and about live performances too. Later the band has acted shortly, but is effective in Cornerstone and has been instantly invited in family of Blood & Ink Records by all other bands written on this label. Their debut album "All Is Fair In Love And War" became one of the most quickly bought up in history of label.

They did a few tours of North America with The Devil Wears Prada and A Day To Remember and played to sold-out crowds in the UK with Enter Shikari. Upon returning home, they found themselves with offers from record labels shooting out of their collective arses. The Bird (drums) states: "We have been searching for the right record label to release our next record for quite some now, and this is a match made in heaven. The force is strong with Century Media. I mean, they signed us without a singer, so they are obviously just as crazy as we are.

"We are also proud to announce that we have finally found a new singer. His name is Tony Gambino, and yeah, his great-uncle was Carlo Gambino so don't mess with us. Tony can do back-flips and breakdance better then Turbo in Electric Boogaloo. We’re psyched to have him on board."

Their long-awaited sophomore release, Pedal to the Metal hit shelves August 19th, 2008.

In 2011, Blessed By A Broken Heart will release their 3rd album,

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
