Christine Milton

Christine Milton is a Danish pop singer. She was one of the participants in the second series of Denmark's popular Popstars series. And even though she did not win she was discovered by record label BMG. She was raised in Gilleleje, Denmark.

She is the original singer behind Jamelia's international hit single "Superstar", which was written and produced by Remee and BMG partners Cutfather & Joe. It spent seven weeks at number one on the official Danish hitlist, sold over 12,000 copies, and gave Milton her very first gold and platinum record.

Unbeknown to Christine Milton, the rights for the international release of the track "Superstar" were acquired by EMI for recording with British singer Jamelia. It is rumoured that Cutfather and Joe believed Jamelia had more of a chance at scoring international success. Christine Milton remains in legal dispute with Cutfather and Joe as they had promised her the international rights to the track.

On 13 April 2005 Christine released her debut album "Friday". Written and produced by hitmakers GHOST (Robyn, Jennifer Brown and Thomas Helmig), Cutfather and Joe (Kylie Minogue, Westlife, Brandy, O-Town, Blue, Christina Aquilera and Angie Stone) and Remee (Robyn, Beverley Knight, Shaznay Lewis) the album was a #1 success in Denmark. It also spawned the further singles Shine On, Whicketywhack (I Don't Want You Back) and So Addictive.

Contrary to popular belief, Christine is not the daughter of Danish Soccer FIFA referee Kim Milton. She has three siblings. She is also a trained professional dancer.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
