Claire Denamur was born February 17, 1984 to French and Dutch father and a Ukrainian and Argentine mother. Claire Denamur spent part of her adolescence in New York. She returned to France at age 12. Her songs are characterized by lyrics about relationships and acoustic, country, and folk music. She was noticed by a producer on Myspace. After that, she undertook her first French tour with Bensé, Renan Luce and La Grande Sophie.
Her first single, Le prince charmant, met with great success. She sang it at the Soirée de la chanson française with Daniela Lumbroso on France 2 January 30, 2009.
Her first album was released February 23, 2009.
