Hardcore punkers Dead Fucking Last (also known as D.F.L.) are best known for the fact that Beastie Boy Adam Horowitz was once a brief member. Comprised of members Monty Messex (guitar and vocals), Tom Davis (vocals), Tony Converse (drums), and Tommy B (bass), D.F.L. debuted in 1995 with the EP My Crazy Life on the Beastie Boys' now-defunct Grand Royal label. The group appeared on Lollapalooza's second stage around this time, before following up with a pair of full-lengths for Epitaph Records, 1995's Proud to Be and 1997's Grateful
