Die Trying

Die Trying was a rock band, formed in 2001 with four members.

After signing a contract with Island Records in 2002, they worked released their first single, "Oxygen's Gone", followed by their self-titled debut album on June 10, 2003. Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach appears on the song "Conquer The World" from that album.

Die Trying are no longer together. They came together for a while in 2004 and formed the band VanityKills, then disappeared again.

Now they're back as Sin City Angels, are are currently working on a new album.

This was recently stated by Jensen:
"I'm in the studio now actually. Hope to have new music later this year.." on 1/13/08

The band has a myspace with some new songs on it, it can be found here:

"The band and Jassen's lyrics are fueled with attitude, and a harsher reality than ever before. The time has come to all of the fans of Die Trying to find out what was really the fate of their fallen band. Now with a new jaded and aggressive outlook and a fire that never has been in the band before, Die Trying's new formation exists. They are the Sin City Angels." -Sin City Angels (off their MySpace)

(Former)DIE TRYING:
* Jassen Jensen - singer
* Jack Sinamian - guitar
* Steve Avery - bass
* Matt Conley - drums

Die Trying was a hardcore band that excited for a short while in 2003, featuring ex-members of the legendary New Jersey Straight Edge band Floorpunch. They sounded like Floorpunch and classic NYHC. Die Trying re-used one song from Smash And Grab, another short-lived post-Floorpunch band. In March 2003 they changed their name from Die Trying to Volume 4. As far as I know they never played out, but they did record a rehearsal session which was up for download at the time, 5 songs in total.

Die Trying/Volume 4 line-up:
*Mark Porter - vocals
*Bill Punch - guitar
*Dave Wez - bass
*Scott Wez - drums

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
