DJ Project is a Romanian dance music group, made up by Gino Manzotti (Handke Giuseppe) and DJ Maxx (Ovidiu Florea) as producers and Elena Baltagan as the vocalist. The group was formed in 2000 in Timisoara, with their first album (Experience) released in 2001. At the MTV Europe Music Awards 2006, DJ Project were awarded with "Best Romanian Act" prize.
At the end of 2009 the vocalist Elena Baltagan decided to start a solo carrier. The female singer who will be taking her place in the group is known as Giulia (already a renowned Romanian singer, her first major release with DJ Project was the hit "Nu").
Elena started her own project called ELLIE WHITE, and she will release a new single soon.
