The Ending is a new beginning for Sergio Galli, the former guitarist with ‘80s pop sensations Platinum Blonde, and frontman Jesse Stull, a magnificent singer who came ‘this close’ to record deals with his old bar band U.Y.K. The Ending became complete with the addition of Damien Smith (drums) and Eli Cohen (bass) and, with an album done, started honing their live show, including opening slots for Def Leppard and KISS’s Ace Frehley. Along the way, Stull has adopted the songs as his own. “They’re my babies too now and I kind of brought them to life,” he says. “The lyrics that Sergio has written, it’s almost like he wrote an album just for me.” This is sure to be a common sentiment soon, as we are but at the beginning of The Ending. “Freakshow” the current single from the band, is currently riding high on the Canadian rock charts.
