Every Time I Die

Every Time I Die is a five-piece southern metal band from Buffalo, New York, founded in the winter of 1998. Though popularly classified as hardcore, Every Time I Die's sound also contains strong elements of metalcore, southern rock and math metal. Beginning with a noisy, chaotic sound close to mathcore they increasingly added fat grooves and twin leads to the mix with each release. Also of note are Keith Buckley's intelligent and often cryptic lyrics. The band announced on July 14, 2008 that they have left Ferret Music and have recently signed with Epitaph.

The band’s fourth album ‘The Big Dirty’ was released on September 4, 2007.

In early 2006 they were on tour with Bleeding Through, Between The Buried And Me and Haste The Day. In late 2006 they supported Atreyu on the World Championship Tour along with From First to Last and Chiodos.

They were on Sounds Of The Underground 2007 tour alongside GWAR, Shadows Fall, Job for a Cowboy, Chimaira, Darkest Hour, The Devil Wears Prada, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Amon Amarth, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, The Acacia Strain, This Is Hell, Necro, and Goatwhore. In the Fall they toured with Underoath, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster and on select shows Poison the Well or Advent.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
