Gloriana

Gloriana is an American country music group composed of four members: brothers Tom Gossin and Mike Gossin (vocals, guitar), as well as rachel reinert (vocals) and Cheyenne Kimball (vocals, mandolin). Before the band's foundation, Kimball was the 2002 winner of the competition America's Most Talented Kid. The band, founded in 2008, released its debut single "Wild At Heart" in 2009, and has charted in the U.S. with it.

Brothers Tom and Mike Gossin, who sing and play acoustic guitar in the band, both played in several bands before relocating to Wilmington, North Carolina. Tom attended University of North Carolina, but dropped out in pursuit of a singing and songwriting career at the suggestion of a teacher. The two brothers then formed a duo, and eventually met vocalist rachel reinert (of Sarasota, Florida) through her MySpace page. The three then began performing together in Nashville, Tennessee. Mandolinist and vocalist Cheyenne Kimball won the first prize on the television talent show America's Most Talented Kid, in addition to releasing an album and three singles on Epic Records. At age 17, she met the Gossin brothers and Reinart at a club in Nashville. They then began writing songs and performing together.

Gloriana then signed to Emblem Records, a label owned by producer Matt Serletic, in late 2008. In early 2009, they released their debut single "Wild at Heart", which Selretic wrote with Josh Kear and Stephanie Bentley. An album will be released on Serletic's label, Emblem Music Group, and will be produced by him. Gloriana will be accompanying Taylor Swift on her 2009 Fearless tour, beginning in April

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
