Jennifer Love Hewitt

An American actress and singer, Jennifer Love Hewitt was born in Waco, Texas on February 21 1979.

In 1991, Hewitt recorded her first album 'Love Songs', when she was just 12. The album was only released in Japan in 1992 where Hewitt became a pop star. Her explanation for her success in Japan is that the Japanese "love perky music. The poppier the music, the better." In a 2008 interview, she also jokingly said it was because "they couldn't understand what I was saying".

Her second album "Let's Go Bang", released in 1995 failed to chart, leading "J-Love" to abandon the music scene for 3 years.

Hewitt starred in the movie "I Know What You Did Last Summer" in 1997 and its sequel "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" in 1998. She released a single which was featured on the sequel's soundtrack, titled "How Do I Deal". The song became Hewitt's first charting single by climbing to #59 on the Hot 100 and #36 on the Top 40 Mainstream. It also reached #8 in Australia.

In 2002, Hewitt signed to Jive Records and recorded her fourth album with the help of singer/songwriter/producer Meredith Brooks. The first single, "BareNaked", became her biggest radio hit to date when it peaked at #24 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, #31 on the Adult Top 40 and #25 on the Top 40 Mainstream.

Hewitt co-wrote and performed two songs for the 'If Only' movie soundtrack which in 2004 she starred in. These were 'Love Will Show You Everything' and 'Take My Heart Back'.

Jennifer is the star and executive producer of the popular TV series "Ghost Whisperer" as Melinda Gordon, a young newlywed who can communicate with the ghosts of the dead. She is also well-known for her roles in the movies "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (her first major movie success) and "Heartbreakers" with Sigourney Weaver.

Between the years of 1997 and 2008, Hewitt was rated one of the sexiest women in the world by the magazine FHM, and in 1999 and 2006 by Maxim magazine.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
