Joy Enriquez

Joy Charity Enriquez (born June 6, 1979 in Whittier, California) is an American singer and actress who has appeared in one full season of the television series 7th Heaven and also starred in films such as Chasing Papi and Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure (voice). Enriquez was also a background singer to the single "When You Believe", a duet by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

At the age of eleven, she participated in the US TV show Star Search and won eleven performances, after which her mother started sending out videotapes of her performances, hoping to score her a record deal. She got a solo deal with LaFace Records, and in 2000, released her album titled Joy Enriquez, including first single "Tell Me How you Feel". In the US, Joy's album was released one week after the 9/11 attacks.

On April 4, 2004 Joy married her producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. Her sophomore album, Atmosphere of Heaven, was released on March 7, 2006 on the independent label Joyful Child formed by Rodney Jerkins and Joy and features the single "Get To Know Him", which, like, the rest of the album, marks a change in direction to a contemporary Christian sound.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
