Kellie Coffey (born April 22, 1971 in Moore, Oklahoma) is an American country music artist who made her debut in 2002 with the release of her single "When You Lie Next to Me", a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. Her debut album, also titled When You Lie Next to Me, was released the same year on BNA Records, and in 2003, Coffey won the Top New Female Vocalist award from the Academy of Country Music. Overall, she has had five entries on the country charts, and has recorded three albums, of which one was unreleased.
Coffey is a graduate of University of Oklahoma with a degree in vocal performance, where she was in the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She moved to California to pursue her singing/songwriting dream.
She performed background vocals for Barbra Streisand's Millennium Concert, recorded songs for Disney Theme Parks (including Epcot's IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth) and sang for the television show Walker, Texas Ranger before she broke into the country music market with her hit single "When You Lie Next to Me" and 2002 album of the same name.
