Kids In Glass Houses are a powerpop five-piece from Cardiff, South Wales with infectious hooks and vocals.
They signed a record deal with Roadrunner Records in December '07.
Formed in 2003 and since then have supported bands like Lostprophets, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Cute Is What We Aim For, Simple Plan, New Found Glory and 30 Seconds to Mars. They are starting to gain notoriety and recently played at Give It A Name 2007. In 2007, the band also appeared at The Full Ponty Festival, Download Festival, Hyde Park Calling, Farnham's Summer Breeze Festival, Collision Course Festival and the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
During their time as an unsigned band, the band garnered a rare and unprecedented amount of press and support from the likes of Kerrang, NME, Big Cheese, Rocksound, Tuned and Total Guitar magazines, as well as BBC Radio 1 and XFM. In a television interview Lostprophets vocalist Ian Watkins claimed that 'relatively unknown bands such as Kids in Glass Houses are a lot better than a lot of known bands out there.'
In August 2007, the band were nominated for Best British Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards, where the group were beaten to the award by Gallows. Following this the band went on a headline tour of their own with Tonight Is Goodbye, and supported Funeral for a Friend's December tour, between which they recorded their debut full length.

In 2006 they released their first E.P titled E-Pocalypse which features 5 tracks; 1. Telenovella, 2. Me Me Me, 3. Easy Tiger, 4. Raise Hell, 5. Historia
Their first album, Smart Casual, was released in 2008 and has 12 tracks. Special editions were also released which had bonus live acoustic tracks.
The band members are Aled Philips - vocals, Joel Fisher - guitar, Iain Mahanty - guitar, Andrew Shay - bass & Philip Jenkins - drums
