Laura Omloop

Laura Omloop known as Laura born on 18/05/1999 in Berlaar. She participated in Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 qualifications of Belgium with the song “Zo Verliefd”. She won the qualifications and Laura Omloop represented Belgium at the 7th Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine. The song was “Zo verliefd (Yodelo)” meaning ”So in love” in English.

After the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 Laura joined with 11 other children, most of whom had also participated in an edition of Junior Eurosong to the third edition of Ketnetpop.

In 2010 Laura also appeared in a few Eén-programs:
De generatieshow, where she sang a song from the musical Annie.
Goeie Vrijdag, where she joined a (half) blind girl to sang a Zo Verliefd song.
Peter Live, where she sang a short version of Zo Verliefd as well as Free Souffriau's song "Ik Lief Voor Jou" with it's author.

On the 1st March, 2010 she realesed her second single "Cowboymeisje", on which the official music video was shooted at the end of April.

On the 1st April, 2010 she signed a contract with EMI Music Belgium.

On the 25th June, 2010 the third Laura's single, called "Stapelgek op Jou" was realesed. The videoclip on it was shooted on 24th of June.

Since 29th October, 2010 her first full album, called "Verliefd" was avalliable. It includes all her past singles as well as some new songs.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
