Leatherwolf

Leatherwolf is a Orange County / Los Angeles based heavy metal band known for their triple lead guitar approach.
Original line-up included:
- Michael Olivieri (vocals, guitar)
- Geoff Gayer (guitar)
- Carey Howe (guitar)
- Paul Carman (bass)
- Dean Roberts (drums).
Their first full-length album is self-titled "Leatherwolf" from 1985, sometimes referred to as "Endangered Species". Because their second studio album from 1988 is also called "Leatherwolf", they are sometimes referred to as "Leatherwolf 1" (1985) and "Leatherwolf 2" (1988).

Leatherwolf has gone through multiple vocalists over the past decade or more.
Original vocalist Michael Olivieri quit the band after the release of the "Wide Open" (1999) live album and was replaced by vocalist Chris Adams who in turn recorded a demo with the band. Adams was later let go when Mike Olivieri rejoined and he also recorded a demo with the band.
Mike Olivieri quit once again and Racer X vocalist Jeff Martin was brought in to record yet another demo. Martin also left and was replaced by Wade Black of Seven Witches fame. Black eventually sang on the final product which materialized as the album "World Asylum".
Ironically Black also left the band after the album's release and a small tour. Mike Olivieri has returned to complete the original line-up and is re-recording the vocals for the "World Asylum" album.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
