Matthew Perryman Jones is a Progressive Rock/Folk artist from Nashville, Tennessee. In 2001 he released Nowhere Else But Here and toured extensively. After a five-year hiatus, he released Throwing Punches in the Dark. The album was well-received by critics and fans. Jones described the album as "finding myself musically." Since then, his music has appeared in such television shows as Kyle XY, Private Practice, and Eli Stone. His newest album, Swallow the Sea, was released August, 2008.
