Signed to the cutting edge sub-label of Avex Trax, mini made her debut as a musician in March 2010 with the electro-pop single, "Are U Ready?". Citing influences like Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston, and Christina Aguilera, mini (real name unknown) had dreamed of becoming a singer since she was 15 years old, but that aspiration had been put on hold as mini became a popular fashion model and eventually founded her management agency in 2008. 3) A four-piece power-pop band from Essex, UK, comprising of Scott Richardson (vocals, drums, percussion), Andy Warden (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Russ Hayward (bass, vocals) and Gary Davies (guitar, keyboards, vocals).

Their sound is often compared to Jellyfish, Crowded House and Teenage Fanclub, as well as classics like The Who and The Beatles.

4) There was also a Seattle-based electronic duo called MINI, influenced heavily by Kraftwerk, Autechre and M83, among others. Members Kevin Swann and Shaun Kardinal continue to create music under other monikers.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
