Pat Monahan

Irish American singer Patrick "Pat" Monahan (born February 28, 1969 in Erie (Waterford), Pennsylvania) is the lead singer and songwriter for the Grammy award winning band Train. He is a successful solo artist, and has collaborated with multiple artists. Pat plays percussion, saxophone, mandolin, flute, electric violin, clarinet, trombone, and bongos.

Pat released his first solo album, Last of Seven, on September 18, 2007, followed by a nation-wide tour. He followed the tour up with a small, intimate acoustic tour, which inspired his "Last of Seven Acoustic," available via digital download only.

His first solo single, "Her Eyes", was released to radio stations in July and made the top 10 of Billboard's Hot AC chart. His second single is "Two Ways to Say Goodbye."

On "Last of Seven," Pat duets with folk-rocker Brandi Carlile, a special guest appearances by Richie Sambora and Graham Nash.

Pat co-wrote with Guy Chambers two songs for Tina Turner, recorded for her recent hits album, Tina!: Her Greatest Hits.

He currently resides in Seattle, WA.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
