PlayRadioPlay!

PlayRadioPlay! is the project of Dan Hunter from Fort Worth, Texas. At the age of 19 and with only the very basics, he has already managed to leave a major mark on the music scene of today.

Creating sweet, indie electro-pop songs which often relate back to experiences he has gone through in the past, Dan manages to create instantly catchy songs and yet retain a personal side to many of them.

He is also know for having an extremely close relationship with fans and regularly chats with them on websites such as MySpace and AbsolutePunk.

After several years of hard work and self-promotion, he signed to major record label, Island Records but insisted that he continued to produce his music not because of the label backing but because he enjoys it.

After putting out two releases with Island, Dan has now become unsigned again and is looking to keep it this way for the forseeable future.
He has said in his blog that he already has another release in the works and hopes to get fans more involved this time around.

When he first began touring, most shows consisted of just him and his laptop. Now, Dan has a full band and has toured with the likes of Yellowcard, The Spill Canvas & Portugal. The Man to name a few.

His first release, 'The Frequency' EP came out on the 24th of March, 2007 and includes remastered versions of several of his well known songs as well as a cover of The Killers hit, "Mr Brightside".

Dan's first full-length album was released on March 18th, 2008 and is called, 'Texas'.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
