Primer 55

Those who should know the history do know the history. Primer 55 has been hitting stages since 1999 creating one of the largest and most dedicated fan bases around! For the last 6 years PRIMER 55 has been silent. No recording, no touring, no talking of Primer 55...Many years of rehab and relapse, it seems as though the clouds have finally lifted for Primer fans!! They toured this past winter and they're are breaking down the barriers, showing their dedication and support of there fans, which have shown them the meaning of "Family for Life". In the shadows of his music Bobby stayed busy... joining Soulfly, making 3 records and touring the world as their bassist. Bobby is currently working on new Primer 55 material and has begun writing in his very own studio called "The Porch Studios". He's been juggling writing and recording the new Soulfly album to be released in summer of 2008, Primer55, and Love Said No which Bobby plays Bass for. Primer55 released the following albums:

AS SEEN ON TV (Fat Static Records) 1999

INTRODUCTION TO MAYHEM (Island Records) 2000

THE NEW RELEASE (Island Records) 2001

FAMILY FOR LIFE CD/DVD(Crash music) 2007.

Guitarist / songwriter Bobby Burns currently plays bass for SOULFLY, Guitars and bass for PRIMER55 and bass for LOVE SAID NO.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
