Roadrunner United

Roadrunner United was a project organised by the alternative record label Roadrunner Records to celebrate its 25th anniversary. It culminated in the release of the album Roadrunner United: The All Star Sessions on October 11, 2005 (October 10 in the UK)

Four "team captains" were chosen:

Joey Jordison (Slipknot, Murderdolls)
Matt Heafy (Trivium)
Dino Cazares (Asesino, ex-Brujeria, ex-Fear Factory, Divine Heresy)
Robert Flynn (Machine Head, ex-Vio-lence)
They lead 57 artists from 45 past and present Roadrunner bands to produce 18 songs.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
