Rocco DeLuca & The Burden are a four-piece Indie rock band from Long Beach, California, who released their debut album 'I Trust You To Kill Me' in the UK on 8th May 2006. The band consists of Rocco DeLuca (vocals, dobro); Ryan Carman (drums); Greg Velasquez (percussion); and Dave Beste (bass). Rocco was only half grown when he learned to travel and play with the best, including his Father who was a touring guitarist with Bo Diddly. He fine tuned his performances at Orange County's Gypsy Lounge where he had a weekly showcase night often featuring the other artist that would eventually join the band. Instrumental to their success and management was actor Kiefer Sutherland, who starred in the documentary 'I Trust You To Kill Me' which was aired on Sky One in the UK on 8th May 2006 to coincide with the band's album release. The band was the first addition to Ironworks Music line up, the record label co-owned by Kiefer Sutherland. Rocco DeLuca & The Burden list Missippissipi John Hurt, Ravi Shankar, Pink Floyd and Mahailia Jackson as their musical influences. Rocco DeLuca & The Burden are one of the most original sounding bands out right now and a lot of that is due to the unique sound of the Dobro guitar that has become a signature of Rocco's music.
