Shawn King was born Shawn Engemann in November 1959 in Studio City, California. As Shawn Southwick she was a backup vocalist, model, actress and former host of the television series Hollywood Insider. Shawn married Larry King in 1997, her third husband and King's seventh wife. By 2005, Shawn had been married to Larry King longer than any of his previous wives.
Most recently she has released In My Own Backyard published by Lofton Creek Records.
Personal
King attended Brigham Young University. She married Larry King on September 5, 1997. She is the mother of three sons (two with King).
King is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her father, Karl Engemann, is an executive in the recording industry and began working with the Osmond Family in the mid-1970s. Consequently, she has been a friend of Marie Osmond, also a Mormon, for over 30 years. Shawn's uncle, Bob Engemann, is an original member of the 1960s trio The Lettermen.
