The band took birth in october 2000. Two break dance bands, "Mesaj Nou" (Pitesti) and "Extreme" (Bucuresti), united under one name, SIMPLU. Name of the band is an abbreviation from Simplu (simple) - Idei (Ideas) - Munca (Work) - Putere (Power) - Lupta (Battle), a true motto for the members: Taz, Omu Negru, Smiley, Piticu, Francezu and C.R.B.L. - 6 boys full of life, bright, experts in break dance.
In february 2001 they released their first EP - "Provocarea". After that they released the first album - "Extrem de SIMPLU". During that summer one of the members, Bebico, left the band and his place was took by Smiley. Later, Taz the most experienced member, left the band too.
