Steve Azar (born April 11, 1964 in Greenville, Mississippi) is an American country music artist. Signed to River North Records Nashville in 1995, he debuted that year with his album Heartbreak Town, which produced the singles "Someday" and "I Never Stopped Lovin' You", both of which entered the Billboard country charts.
Azar broke through in 2002 with his second album, Waitin' on Joe, released on Mercury Nashville Records. Its lead-off single, "I Don't Have to Be Me ('Til Monday)", became his biggest hit, reaching #2 on the country charts and #35 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single (the title track) reached #28. An additional single for Mercury, "Doin' It Right", was released in 2005, and after it failed to make Top 40, he exited the label.
In 2006, Azar signed to Midas Records Nashville to release his third album, Indianola. This album's lead-off single, "You Don't Know a Thing", peaked at #49 on the country charts. However, the album itself was not released until June 2008 on Azar's own Dang Records label
