The Stills hail from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The original band members were vocalist Tim Fletcher, guitarist Greg Paquet, drummer Dave Hamelin, and bassist Oliver Corbeil. They put out their first commercial release, the Rememberese EP, in June 2003. It featured the single "Still In Love Song." In 2004, the band released its debut album, Logic Will Break Your Heart, and gained notoriety touring with Interpol and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
The band changed its lineup in 2005 when founding member Greg Paquet left to finish his degree. He was replaced by former drummer Dave Hamelin who joined Tim Fletcher on lead vocals and guitar. Hamelin also wrote all of the songs for the band's latest album, Without Feathers, released on May 9, 2006 by Vice Records. Touring keyboardist Liam O'Neil became a full-time member and drummer Julien Blais joined as a touring member. Without Feathers features Metric's Emily Haines on "Baby Blues" and Broken Social Scene's Jason Collett and Sam Roberts on "Oh Shoplifter."
