Tony Vincent

after attending college and recording two hit albums in nashville, and then two years touring with a rock band, tony vincent took the performers risk and headed for new york. the plan was to gain more experience, to further his fledgling recording career. instead, he found himself leaving the big apple almost as fast as he arrived, hitting the road once again this time, with the national touring company of RENT, the pulitzer prize-winning broadway musical by fellow new mexico native, jonathan larson. (a year with the broadway company followed.)

after RENT, vincent was off to london after being cast in a cutting-edge film of jesus christ superstar --returning to new york yet again, to appear in the broadway revival of "superstar" in the lead role of judas iscariot. after a successful broadway run, vincent started development work for a new record spending considerable time collaborating with other writer-producers in los angeles, new york, woodstock, sweden and london.

while taking time to write in london, vincent was invited to audition for brian may, roger taylor and ben elton and was soon cast for the lead role of galileo figaro in the rock band queen's upcoming world premiere production of WE WILL ROCK YOU. vincent spent two years with the show playing to sold-out audiences at virtually every performance.

once WE WILL ROCK YOU became a solid hit in london, producers invited vincent to open the first american company in a new permanent theatre at the paris las vegas resort.

after a year with the vegas production, vincent is now back in new york city and in the process of working on a new record.

stay tuned...

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
