Twiztid

Comrades and labelmates of Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid (previously House of Krazees)is another Michigan-based rap duo whose act originated with a somewhat similar makeup image (but with Twiztid's ever-present eerie contact lenses), an open obsession with serial-killer horror films, and lyrics that related to their roots in Detroit's east side.

Jamie Madrox (James Spanolio) and The Monoxide Child (Paul Methric) cast themselves in the role of psychotic axe murderers on their 1998 debut album, Mostasteless, a portmanteu of the words "Most" and "Tasteless". This album was eventually reissued with new artwork and extra tracks a year later in the wake of ICP's rise to national notoriety.

Twiztid's close relationship with Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope of ICP has resulted in a huge fan base of Juggalos, who generally follow both bands.

Twiztid's second album, Freek Show, was released on Halloween 2000 in conjunction with ICP's Bizzar/Bizaar dual-album cd sets.

Mirror Mirror followed two years later.

The Green Book hit the shelves in 2003 with Man's Myth, Vol. 1 and Mutant, Vol. 2 both landing within a month of each other in 2005. The duo began changing their makeup on a regular basis, sometimes forgoing it altogether (save for the lenses), and toured extensively throughout the United States since their debut.

Twiztid and ICP are reportedly joining forces on ICP's upcoming tour for their new release, "The Tempest" (due on Mar. 20)

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
