War of Ages

Combining the shredding guitar solos of traditional metal with all the brutality of today’s hardcore bands, War of Ages have grabbed our attention with their gripping grooves and tireless enthusiasm. Playing over 250 shows in 2005 alone, with bands such as Bury Your Dead, The Acacia Strain, As I Lay Dying and Throwdown. War of Ages released their self-titled debut War of Ages on Strikefirst Records last year that was received enthusiastically, and applauded by the press causing 'Under The Volcano' magazine to say: "This self-titled debut fuses brutal, bottom-heavy hardcore rage with explosive metal pyrotechnics perfectly; this is one of the best CD's I have heard this year".

War of Ages has earned a devoted fan base across the nation that are spreading the word and making War of Ages a band you need to see in 2006. They are newly signed to Facedown Records and preparing to record their new album at Trax East Studios.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
