Year Long Disaster

"Everything that is not spring from tradition is plagiarized Begin drawing and painting as the old masters, to always do as you wish you will always be respected "
-Salvador Dali

Year Long Disaster took Salvador Dali's words to heart when they began to build the mainframe ideas that would form their fundamental musical intentions Modify alone the original blues models of the Masters, Cream Free ZZ Top Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin among others year round Disaster are more likely to play shuffles as the base back beat and chorus to determine which dependent dynamic moment of the song appeals most memorable moment, this may prove ina riff a recurring vocal line or in a sonic assault stemming from clean energy Riffs extend last four bars Lyrics may not repeat itself-year Disaster embraces the humanity and simplicity in songwriting with the ability to improvise allows the audience to participate in the moments that will never exist again.

This band's work is also a reflection of the myriad reflections of what they as individuals perform write and think pedigree of this band is complex and unusual guitarist and singer Daniel Davies is the 23-year old son of Dave Davies of the Kinks, he Born in London and spent the first nine years of his life touring the world with one of the most legendary live acts of all time, Daniel can be seen as an infant in his arms pthe Susan St. James during an episode of Saturday Night Livesom she introduces her father's band At thirteen Daniel and his family moved from London to Los Angeles three years later his parents split and Daniel moved in with his neighbor and godfather director John Carpenter was living with Daniel Carpenter until graduating from Hollywood High School, he then put on your own hand playing music for three years, he worked menial jobs and not random drug testing for even more menial jobs until he went into a Hollywood grocery store to buy vodka, it was where he met bass player Rich Mullins.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
