Your Demise

Hate-filled hardcore from St Albans, UK. Their self released first efforts Your Days Are Numbered and You Only Make Us Stronger put them on the UK Hardcore map and affirmed their place as one of the circuit's leading lights, Your Demise playing alongside anyone and everyone, anywhere and everywhere. An E.P entitled The Blood Stays On The Blade saw their first breakthrough in the UK press. Released through Thirty Days of Night shortly following a full UK tour supporting Enter Shikari, this release began to elevate Your Demise from the underground scene, an elevation which resulted in the quintet signing to Visible Noise in 2008. The band spent December 2008 - January 2009 holed up in Outhouse Studios, Reading with producer John Mitchell, recording their debut album for Visible Noise. Entited Ignorance Never Dies, the new album sees YD pursuing a groovier, riffier yet more melodic direction and was released April 20th in the UK. YD also signed to Earache Records in the USA who will release Ignorance Never Dies in North America on August 11 2009.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
