Eventful, Inc., the leading digital media company connecting over 20 million entertainment consumers with live music and local events, has announced the appointment of Ryan Bitzer as Director of Tour Marketing for the Nashville market. Bitzer will enhance and build key music industry partnerships for Eventful in the Nashville market.

Eventful drives ticket sales and marketing for music artists though a unique and targeted blend of digital, social media, and direct marketing campaigns. Promoters, managers, labels and venues utilize Eventful to drive awareness, ticket purchase, and music sales.

“I’m incredibly excited to be establishing a formal presence for Eventful in the Nashville market,” said Bitzer. “The live music industry is currently at an inflection point and it’s critical that a company offering unique and impactful tour marketing solutions to artists is firmly integrated into the Nashville music community.”

In addition to its tour marketing services, Eventful’s unique Demand it!™ social media service is used by over 100,000 performers to engage with millions of their fans to find out where they are in demand, and then utilize this essential data to optimize future tour routing and make informed decisions about where to appear. Demand it!™ empowers music fans to influence the location and content of local entertainment and events and helps artists fill the house in target markets, bridging the gap between social media and commerce.

“We’re excited to have Ryan on board to help establish important music industry relationships for Eventful in the Nashville market,” said Eventful CEO Jordan Glazier. “The Nashville community has clearly emerged as an integral and lasting part of the music industry and we’re looking forward to enhancing our existing relationships and building new partnerships.”

Bitzer formerly helped launch and then ran the Nashville division for Sparkart Group, Inc., a digital agency that specializes in marketing entertainment brands online. He was previously Chief Strategy Officer at RPM Management, where he managed the web presence and marketing of Tim McGraw and Julianne Hough. He was also responsible for company operations, digital strategy, and brand partnerships with companies such as Wrigley's, Clorox, and Frito Lay.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
