New York, NY - Friday, January 27th – UK duo The Kills (Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart) made waves earlier this month after releasing brand new video for “The Last Goodbye,” directed by Oscar nominated actress Samantha Morton, watch HERE. The Kills are now releasing a ‘Making Of’ “The Last Goodbye” complete with intimate interviews with Samantha, Jamie and Alison, watch HERE.

 

The Last Goodbye” is the fourth single to come from the duo’s critically acclaimed fourth LP Blood Pressures and will be released as a limited edition 7” picture disk and 10” via The Kills webstore – www.thekills.tv on February 21st and via digital download through Domino on February 14th. In celebration of the band’s tenth anniversary, a beautiful six-minute documentary filmed in London by Giorgio Testi has been released. It tells the story of the final moments as The Kills prepare to go on stage for their headline show at London’s Brixton Academy, watch HERE.

 

February 2012 marks 10 years of The Kills. The band started life on February 14th 2002, with a show at the 150 capacity Bar 12, London. Four albums later the band are now playing venues such as the 5,000 capacity Brixton Academy and festivals all over the globe. The anniversary will be marked with a very special gig at New York’s Terminal 5 on February 11th.

 

In the past year, the band have performed electrifying sets at Lollapalooza and Bumbershoot and have appeared on Conan, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Last Call with Carson Daly in support of their latest offering, Blood Pressures (Domino). Ten years in, the band are at the peak of their powers, with one of the most stunning live shows of any contemporary rock band.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
