Infectious Sophomore Single Solidifies Newcomer As Music Row’s Next Big Thing
Corresponding Contest To Be Launched Worldwide

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 7, 2010) –17 Music Entertainment [in partnership with Quarterback Records] introduces Matt Gary's “stick-with-you” new single "I'm Just Sayin' ." Featuring romantic lyrics and a sing-along chorus, the cut is poised to be a surefire hit with pop country fans across the board and an instant “add” on radio.

Penned by Frank Myers, Gary B. Baker and Billy Montana, “I’m Just Sayin’” appears on Matt Gary’s upcoming six-pack* by the same name (due November 2010). Told by an outside admirer looking in, the song is about a relationship heading south and his willingness to step in. Matt's temperate tenor voice complements the catchy, rock-inspired lead guitar rhythms while blending with a charming piano melody that glistens. Matt’s smooth vocals plead, “If you were mine, I’d love you good and treat you right…I’m just sayin’.”

The track was a “first choice” for Matt in the recording studio. “Before I even heard the song, I knew I wanted to cut it just based on the title,” he explained. “’I’m Just Sayin’’ is in my everyday vocabulary. This up-tempo track rocks from beginning to end and reiterates a ‘worthy of your love’ sentiment.”

Further advancing his single and six-pack release, and America’s most exaggerated saying, Gary launched a novel online promotion via JustSayin.me (imjustsayin.mattgarymusic.com). Gary is hosting an independent contest to seek out the most creative “I’m Just Sayin’” video. Film enthusiasts, novice or professional, can submit their “I’m Just Sayin’” creations to contend for a spot in Matt’s corresponding music video. The winning video clip (as rated and voted on by the online subscribers) will make a cameo appearance. Contestants will also vie for the chance to win a trip to see Matt Gary live and in concert (the package includes flight, hotel and show tickets for two) in Tampa, FL. The first 500 entrants will receive a free download–an exclusive track from the six-pack.

This week, Matt embarks on an extensive cross-country radio tour to promote the single, “I’m Just Sayin’,” which is scheduled to impact radio October 25, 2010.

Everyone comes to Nashville at some point and I was recently honored to sit down for brunch with May Pang. Beatles fans will all know that May lived with John Lennon during the mid-‘70s. Naturally, this gracious firecracker of a woman had some great tales to tell, and I was able to pick her brains about one of her good friends Harry Nilsson. Nilsson enjoyed massive commercial success with two huge hits in the ‘70s: “Everybody’s Talkin’” and “Without You”. He had even more fame as John Lennon’s drinking buddy in LA in the mid-‘70s. There’s not a rock and roller from that time that doesn’t have a good word to say about Nilsson. He was larger than life, the ultimate party animal, generous to a fault, and loved by all who knew him.
