Toronto natives Bishop Morocco have premiered a new video with NYLON for the title track off their Old Boys EP, out on March 13 via Arts & Crafts and also available for pre-order. Directed by Eva Michon, the video captures the ghost of a young woman (fashion designer Rita Leifhebber) who possesses a teenage girl at an adolescent house party. The band has also announced they will be performing at SXSW '12, including a set at the Arts & Crafts SXSW Showcase.

Bishop Morocco is the musical vision of James Sayce and Jake Fairley. The Toronto-based duo recorded its 2008 self-titled debut at a homemade studio in their Groningen, Netherlands apartment, earning international attention. Two years later, Bishop Morocco arrives on Arts & Crafts with Old Boys, a six-track EP on which the band strays from its original new wave influences towards a thicker, more contemplative sound, aided by the addition of Ian Worang on guitar and Jon McCann on drums.

A savvy delivery loaded with smart electronic instrumentation and richly textured melodies, Old Boys was recorded at another homemade studio in west Toronto. The new EP is poised to captivate new fans and satiate an already dedicated following of critics and trendsetters.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
