 Twin Atlantic Announce Debut Album Free To Be Released on March 13 On Red Bull Records Band to Tour United States in February and March, Including Stop at SXSW

Glasgow's Twin Atlantic are happy to announce their debut album, Free, to be released in North American on March 13 via Red Bull Records. Free was recorded in Santa Monica and produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Echo And The Bunnymen, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World). The album was released in the 2011 in the UK and resulted in iTunes UK naming them Best New Rock Artist of the Year. Free was the UK's best selling independent British rock album of 2011, hitting #1 on iTunes Rock albums charts and #4 on Scottish albums.

Twin Atlantic is also announcing tour dates to promote the release of Free. The tour begins on Feb 23 in Visalia, CA with rising California favorites PK. They will then hit SXSW in mid-March followed by an appearance at Canadian Music Week and will round out the month with additional dates in Canada and New England. They will also appear on the Vans Warped Tour this summer. The band has toured plenty in the last few years, supporting popular acts as varying as Smashing Pumpkins, The Gaslight Anthem, My Chemical Romance, and Blink-182. Their first single "Free" was most added at Alternative radio last week including Alt Nation on SiriusXM. The companion video has also been added to mtvU and was recently featured on MTV Iggy.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
