Bright Eyes are excited to present the video for “Jejune Stars”, the latest single from their album The People’s Key (Saddle Creek) on MTVHive/MTVu. Directed by Lance Acord, and with the help of flares, fireworks, and an illuminated marquee, the video celebrates the song’s childhood nostalgia. In addition to the premiere, Bright Eyes have announced additional dates to their summer tour, including a return to New York City at the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn, NY on August 31st (all tour dates below).

Director Lance Acord worked his way up from photo assistant to cinematographer and landed his first feature film credit as cinematographer for Vince Gallo’s cult classic, Buffalo 66, which garnered international acclaim for its striking imagery. Following the success of Buffalo '66, Acord worked as cinematographer on Spike Jonze's Being John Malkovich and Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation, securing his place as a visual storyteller to watch. Lance Acord has three Cannes Gold Lions, a BAFTA nod for Lost in Translation (cinematography), and a Director’s Guild of America nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Commercials.
