After completing a 17 date run this spring to critical acclaim, The Kills have announced additional select dates through August and September. Including stops at Lollapalooza and Bumbershoot Festival, the duo will also take over LA’s Wiltern Theater and return to NYC’s Terminal 5. After playing electrifying sets at SXSW and Coachella and appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan and Last Call with Carson Daly in support of their latest offering, Blood Pressures (Domino), The Kills’ live show has become as much a part of their trademark as their dizzy, sexy rock songs. Watch a newly released performance of “The Last Goodbye” live from Coachella HERE. Be sure to catch the live show the OC Register called “spellbinding” and “completely mesmerizing” – full list of dates are below!
The eleven tracks on Blood Pressures find The Kills embracing a fuller sound and becoming more adventurous in the studio creating what Entertainment Weekly called “another near masterpiece”. With Mosshart returning as commanding as ever and Hince armed with his bluesy guitar, USA Today says “a dark, seductive, primal heat pulsates within that maelstrom of feedback and guitar fury, which sets The Kills apart from its art-of-noise brethren.” The band also released the short film Blood Pressures which offers a playful and close-up look at the duo during the making of their recent studio album. Check it out HERE.

Praise for Blood Pressures:
“The chemistry between Mosshart and Hince must be more intense than ever, because their fourth album is also their finest.” 4 stars – Rolling Stone
“… the new Kills record presents a more expansive sound from the London-based blues-punk duo.” – SPIN
“... Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart flesh out… their fourth album with thicker textures, big harmonies and lethal beats. A dark, seductive, primal heat pulsates within that maelstrom of feedback and guitar fury, which sets The Kills apart from its art-of-noise brethren.” – USA Today
“The Kills’ trademark fuzzy guitars, deadpan vocals and drum-machine minimalism are all there, too, but bumped up to a new level… Make no mistake, Blood Pressures is still characteristically sparse, but it’s also highly nuanced – no easy blend considering the two play everything save for the tuba.” – Los Angeles Times Magazine
