"When Kim and I sat down to write "I'm A Goner" we knew we wanted to make a song people can party to," said Matt Johnson of MATT & KIM. "Soulja Boy and ANDREW W.K's lyrics and energy bring a whole new element to the song that we couldn't be more excited about."

For the song, Converse approached MATT & KIM to curate the original track. After writing the song, the duo thought long and hard about who would make this track what they imagined it to be and tapped ANDREW W.K. and Soulja Boy to enter the studio with them. "I'm A Goner" was produced by Matt Johnson of MATT & KIM and is the product of these dynamic artists weaving together their individual musical styles to create one unified piece of music.
"At its core, the Converse brand is about creativity and continuing our ongoing commitment to support it," said Geoff Cottrill, Chief Marketing Officer of Converse. "The Three Artists. One Song program has brought together great artists and provided a platform for them to create amazing music and the new single "I'm A Goner" is no exception. The music video that's premiering on MTV2 and the track showcases all the talents of each artist while simultaneously allowing them to work together, making the end result a strong, innovative collaboration that we could not be more excited to give back to their fans."

The video for "I'm A Goner" features all of the artists and was created by Converse with partners including Anomaly, Cornerstone and the acclaimed director Rodney Ascher via Greenpoint Pictures.

Converse has a long and rich history of championing artistic creativity and supporting the worlds of music, sport, art and fashion. This song marks the fifth original track produced by Converse and follows the 2011 collaboration between legendary UK artists Graham Coxon of Blur, Paloma Faith and Bill Rider Jones, formerly of the Coral titled "Desire."

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
