The Ettes Premiere NEW Video for “Excuse” on Spin.com

Directed by comedy writer and WFMU host Tom Sharpling; Featuring comedian Patton Oswalt

Rock trio The Ettes have unveiled their brand new video for single “Excuse” on Spin.com. Watch it HERE. Featuring comedian Patton Oswalt, the video was written and directed by the brilliant Tom Scharpling, comedy writer (Monk, Adult Swim), comedian and host of “The Best Show” on the listener-supported NYC radio station WFMU. When The Ettes’ video director, played by Patton, blows their sky-high budget for the music video, the band is left with nothing to do but carry out their hilarious storyboard ideas in front of blank green screens.

The Ettes’ fourth album Wicked Will, produced by Liam Watson (The Kills, The White Stripes), was released to critical acclaim earlier this month via Krian Music Group/Fond Object. The band is on tour now, infusing the sultry summer night with their one-of-a-kind rock ‘n’ roll mystique. With their signature blend of retro garage punk, 60s girl group influences and fuzzy blues-rock, Wicked Will is The Ettes’ most impressive and varied album to date.

Praise for The Ettes

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
