About Special Engagements:

The Special Engagements Concert is a new series presented by Intel and Dell along with Noisey. The monthly series is grounded in a technology-driven audience experience, which gives fans the power to collaborate with the performing artist before and during the show. Together, they will produce a once-in-a-lifetime event that is streamed live across the world. The series kicked off August 20 in Austin, Texas at the famed Lustre Pearl with Brooklyn-based sensation Theophilus London and host Telli from Ninjasonik. For this first Engagement, fans determined which exclusive remix Theophilus London debuted during his set, sent in visual interpretations of his album to accompany the performance, submitted shout-outs and even decided the shirt he wears on stage. Leading up to the debut event in Austin, they determined factors of the performance via polling widgets, Twitter and Facebook.

‘Music City 411- Robin Gibb Tribute

By: Andrew Vaughan

It’s truly heartbreaking to see the pain Robin Gibb’s family is going through right now. The Bee Gees singer is in a coma after suffering with liver cancer and most recently pneumonia. Of course, several big name pop acts have passed away recently- Davy Jones of The Monkees probably the most recent. Now I knew Davy to talk to but I’d never met his family. Which is why hearing about the Gibb family’s pain surrounding Robin is so difficult to handle.
