Don Friedman

Donald Ernest Friedman (May 4, 1935 – June 30, 2016) was an American jazz pianist.

On the West Coast, Friedman performed with Dexter Gordon, Chet Baker, Buddy DeFranco, and Ornette Coleman before moving to New York City. He led his own trio, in addition to playing in the bands of Pepper Adams, Booker Little, and Jimmy Giuffre in the 1960s. He was also a member of Clark Terry's big band. He worked in New York as a pianist and educator. He had many fans in Japan.
