Mark Toliusis posted an update https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGtn2zAoebQ Midwestern Lull: An Introduction. Directed by Paul Toliusis and Bryan Doughty

Midwestern Lull - Biography

"And the farmhouse was empty, no echoes of you... Its sure good to see you, man. Its been a long time. Never meant to forget you. Youe a friend of mine." Those lyrics pretty much sum up vintage roots-rock outfit Midwestern Lull. The five-pieces humble, rural Michigan beginnings started with longtime friends and musical partners Dave Johnson (vocals, guitar) and Mark Toliusis (vocals, drums). In 2001, they added childhood friend Nick Goodman (vocals, bass) and started writing. Soon enough, the trio added brothers Erik Sebastian (vocals, lead guitar) and Patrick Sebastian (vocals, organ/piano), bringing with them a bluesy sensibility that just worked.

Listening to "Friend of Mine" (single, fall 12 release), youll be quick to figure out that Midwestern Lulls influences are of a bygone era. Through gray, inward, undeniably relatable lyrics, the pure and sincere tone of Johnsons voice conjures an eerie combination of Jackson Browne and Neil Young. A band of vocalists, harmonies reminiscent of groups like The Eagles and The Band echo throughout. With a rare instinct for whats right for the song, piano and lead guitar flourishes remind us that there is something truly special about brother musicians.

Having recently joined Chicago-based, independent label Railway Records, Midwestern Lull adopted the Windy City as their new home base. The quintet are currently recording at their farmhouse in Southwest Michigan.
