I've been on the road about 300 days of a year since 2005, and it wasn't slow before then either... ;-)

6 concerts in the next 9 days in 2 States.... which is typical....so it won't be long before I'm in your city if you want to check back periodically.

If you come out, please let me know so I can meet you, ok?

Thanks

In it's third year, this FREE annual event brings together musicians, historians and serious students of the music of B. B. King and his contemporaries to explore the various themes, influences and variations of the Mississippi Delta Blues. Year one explore B.B.'s live and music with the men and women who knew him and played with him. The 2016 event delved into the influence that the Blues and B.B. King had on jazz, and included in the panel discussions musicians who actually helped make that history and who knew, toured with and influenced the likes of Tito Puente, Miles Davis, Count Basie, Monk, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye and more. This year's event will explore the "Chitlin' Circuit", that informal circuit of black clubs and venues in and about the American south where the Blues melded with other influences and musical innovations that eventually emerged as a musical form that came to be called "Rock n' Roll". Author of the definitive book on the subject, Preston Lauterbach will lead some of the discussions as well as talk about his book, "The Chitln' Circuit and the Road to Rock N' Roll". The will also include musical performance at MVSU and later in the evening more music at the B.B. King King Museum at Indianola, MS. Bring your instrument, heart and mind .... the blues lives.... There's a good chance you could have the opportunity to jam with some of the legends on the industry including legendary Blues and and 2017 Grammy winner, Bobby Rush.
