AMERICANA WITH ATTITUDE, WHERE COUNTRY, ROCK & ROLL AND PUNK MEET! http://www.thenickelslotsmusic.com - The Nickel Slots, an alt-country, Americana-styled roots rock band out of Sacramento, California, take you on a journey through hard times and desperation that always carries hope that better things are just around the corner. With influences from early roots Americana music as well as a touch of rebellious ’70s punk, The Nickel Slots draw the line that connects Johnny Cash to The Clash. From the sentimental folk tune to the foot-stomping, raucous sing-along, their alt-country rock songs bring you back to a long-lost memory or shared experience of pain, joy, heartache, love, hope, and redemption. About the video: Lead singer and acoustic guitarist Tony Brusca wrote the song as a tale about a boy taking a wrong path and eventually paying a price he comes to regret. The theme is akin to one selling their soul to the Devil, with the tragic realization that you got the bad end of the bargain. The child in the video represents the idea that the innocence of a child can turn malevolent at a young age. About the band: The Nickel Slots’ high-energy alt-country/Americana music takes you on a journey through hard times and desperation that always carries hope that better things are just around the corner. With influence from early roots Americana music as well as a touch of rebellious ’70s punk, The Nickel Slots draw the line that connects Johnny Cash to The Clash. From the sentimental folk tune to the foot-stomping, raucous sing-along, their alt-country rock songs bring you back to a long-lost memory or shared experience of pain, joy, heartache, love, hope, and redemption. Their music has been called Americana with attitude, where country, rock & roll, and punk meet. Lead singer and acoustic guitarist Tony Brusca writes songs that tell unique stories and has a knack for connecting with audiences. Bassist and mandolin player Paul Zinn’s backing vocals add an extra dimension to Tony’s melodies and his bass lines just can’t sit still. Christopher Amaral, The Nickel Slots’ versatile drummer, lays down train beats and adds distinctive power to the band’s sound. His brother, award-winning electric guitarist Steve Amaral, throws down tasteful licks that dance across the line between rock and country. ### Website: http://www.thenickelslotsmusic.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/thenickelslots Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/thenickelslots iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/the-nickel-slots/id374094727 ReverbNation: https://www.reverbnation.com/thenickelslots EPK: http://www.thenickelslotsmusic.com/epk/ ISRC Code: USHM21158737 Songwriter: Tony Brusca PRO Affiliation: ASCAP IPI number: 344269653 Song IPI Number: ASCAP# 883249066 More

When I was creating this song I wanted to celebrate all Dads and incorporate my own special moments along with my friend's memories and why they are a Daddy's Girl. My favorite memory for me was going storm chasing with my dad and not telling mom. My Dad and I still to this today spend hours playing music. The sound of this song was important to me. I wanted to bring back more of the old style country sound but keep it fresh. I wanted to create a song that people could dance too. I'm very blessed with having amazing Nashville musicians creating the final sound. ___________ My friend Lance Goodwin help me film and editor the video. My mom and Hollywood Stylist Melissa Larskin designed/made my custom green beaded boots. Every bead was hand glued one bead at a time. ____________ Written by Anastasia Richardson and Curt Ryle ___________ Cast/Crew: Anastasia Richardson - self, Jimmy Parker - Father, Lucas Ciliberti - Boyfriend, -------------- DP / Editor - Lance Goodman, Production Coordinator - Bridget Ciliberti, Location - Portland, TN, ----------------------- Music Producer - Curt Ryle with Big Matador Recording, Dennis Holt - Drums, Dane Bryant - Piano, Steve Bryant - Bass, Mike Severs - Electric Guitar, Wanda Vick - Fiddle, Curt Ryle - Guitar, Alice Summers - Background vocals, Earth made Records: owners Anastasia Richardson and Susan Dale, Executive Producer - Susan Dale, Stylist - Melissa Laskin, www.AnastasiaRichardson.com ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Funny moment in making this video. When we were driving to Portland, TN to shoot the scenes. My mom was riding in Lucas Ciliberti vintage car which was going to be used in one of the scenes but halfway to Portland the car engine blow leaving them stranded on the road. We had to send a crew member to set with the car until the tow trunk came which was 4 hours later. Since we had limited time to shoot the scenes in Portland and without the vintage car we had to completely change the scene at the last moment. More

Singing the female’s reply to the male’s request to prove true love, Shauna rejuvenates this English traditional ballad, “Scarborough Fair” with her own Celtic spin. Her intricate yet, delicate piano melodies whisk through the entire piece. Shauna’s profound lyrics and piano driven sound has built her reputation in the Celtic music world and has also allowed her to tour extensively through the U.S. and U.K. More
