Bio

From an early age, I have loved and been exposed to music. Grandma would listen to the radio while she cleaned the house & did the laundry. They had a lot of records, she had anything from Patsy Montana, Bob Wills, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, & Jean Shepard etc.
I got my musical talent from both sides of the family. My Grandma Davis played the guitar with her brothers & sister. There were 5 of them & they had a band. My Grandmother Hamilton (my dad's mom) & her brothers & sisters played & sang too. All the nephews still do.
I moved to Texas in 2003 and met my husband, Mike, and we were married in 2005. He has been a big help in getting me in the local Opry houses around East Texas. He's been manager, promoter, & photographer for the last 12 yrs. of me doing this. He's been there for me when I wanted to chuck it all & scream I QUIT! And I am so grateful for that.
I've been on stage at all the local opry houses around here numerous times. I have been on stage with other bands besides at the Oprys. I sang with John Conlee's band in the early 90's & I got to yodel on stage with Riders In The Sky during one of their shows. I have also sang with Tommy Horton several times. I've performed with Claude Gray. I was invited to The Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville Tn. by Riders In The Sky. I got to sing at Tootsies while in Nashville. Several years ago I got to sing on stage at The Louisiana Hay Ride in Shreveport La. a couple of times. I was the only live singer ever allowed to perform at the "Hands On A Hard Body" contest in Longview Texas. I sang for the KYKX Radio Station's toy drive in Longview Texas.
I have recorded three albums, the last one at Smart Studios in Nash Texas with Chip Bricker. Johnny Cox played steel on it and Reggie Rueffer played fiddle. While in the recording studio for my last album, Johnny Cox, Earnest Tubb's former steel player, played Hal Rugg's steel (The Wilburn Brother's steel player), that was handed down to him, for the first time on anyone's album for me. That was a real thrill.
I became affiliated with Pretty World Records in Nashville in 2015 and they released my new single "A Bible And A Six Pack" at that time.
Now I own 6 guitars and a Mandolin. I have two solid body electrics and two acoustics and two acoustic electrics. I have been writing songs for a few years now and really enjoy that.
I would rather be singing than eating any day. I especially love to yodel. I'm just a country girl at heart and love country music, especially the old traditional stuff.
